The Akshaya Patra Foundation, is a mid-day meal NGO headquartered in Bangalore, Karnataka. It implements the Mid-Day Meal Scheme across 12 states of India. It began its journey as an NGO in Odisha in the year 2006 by establishing its centralised kitchen in Puri. Since then the NGO is strategically expanding its reach and over the years it has established centralised kitchens in Rourkela and Bhubaneswar, along with starting decentralised kitchens in Nayagarh.
