Feed a child and avail tax exemption on donation

As the financial year is coming to a close, choose to contribute towards 100% tax exemption donation. Tax exemption donation means becoming eligible for exemption from paying tax. As we are busy collecting documents that can provide some tax relief, Akshaya Patra has already found a noble way to save tax.

Akshaya Patra is an Indian NGO providing mid-day meal to children at Government schools. It is a registered Trust and has the consent to offer 100% tax exemption for donation of Rs.500 and above under section 35 AC/80 G of the Income Tax Act 1961. At Akshaya Patra the cost per meal per child for one whole year sums up to Rs.750. Thus going by this cost efficient programme management and the provision of tax exemption donation, the donor can feed a child for an entire year and also save tax at the same time.

Let’s end this financial year with a noble deed by contributing to feed a child. For more details on tax exemption donation please visit Tax Exemption Donation FAQs or send an email to Akshaya Patra at infodesk@akshayapatra.org

  1. With your support, NGOs offering help regarding care for the elderly will be one step closer to offering food, accommodation, and health care to those who need it the most. So make your donations to support age care in India.
