Akshaya Patra latest news: Inauguration of solar plant in Bangalore kitchen



 Inauguration of the solar plant on 29th November 2014 is one of the most promising captures in Akshaya Patra latest news. This solar plant was inaugurated at the Vasanthapura kitchen of The Akshaya Patra Foundation’s Bangalore location. This plant has a capacity to generate 70 units of power per day. The introduction of this plant will not only help in cutting down production cost but is also an environment friendly approach undertaken by this NGO in Bangalore. This initiative of The Akshaya Patra Foundation will be aiding power supply for all the single phase power equipments like computers, fans and the like, which in turn will significantly reduce the kitchen unit’s dependency on regular grid electricity supply. 


This NGO in Bangalore is thankful to the support extended by the donors who sponsored this green initiative namely Stichting Hooge Woert, Liesbeth Van Geest and Rutger Zonneveld. The Vice Chairman of The Akshaya Patra Foundation - Chanchalapathi Dasa along with COO – R. Madan, inducted the solar plant at the kitchen.
