hosts such NGO events to spread
awareness to feed the children. At
the current event Gururaj Deshpande, Chairman of Akshaya Patra USA said that the best part about the evening was the
simplicity and frank conversation on various world issues. He acknowledged the
genuine compassion reflected among the attendees and the special guests for the
evening. He said that the attendees generously felt the need to feed the children as they showed their
inclination towards supporting Akshaya Patra.
Emily
Rosenbaum, CEO of Akshaya Patra USA shared similar thoughts as Deshpande and expressed
heartfelt gratitude to the entire Boston community to come together for the
cause of feeding the children. The
event raised a generous amount of $500,000 which will be helpful in providing
wholesome mid-day meals to 33,000 Akshaya Patra beneficiaries for one whole
