In a strategic partnership through Corporate Social Responsibility, Protinex has partnered with The Akshaya Patra Foundation to support the cause of mid-day meal. This partnership showcases how Corporate Social partnerships with non-profit organisations can be potential step towards bringing positive changes in the society. Protinex is one of India's leading protein supplement brand. It has initiated the 'Nutrition at Re. 1' campaign to support Akshaya Patra. Through this campaign, Protinex contributed Re. 1 to Akshaya Patra’s mid-day meal programme on sale of every tin of Protinex Original. Protinex has adopted 3,500 students across 28 Akshaya Patra beneficiary schools to provide mid-day meals.
At the conclusion of the 'Nutrition at Re. 1', Protinex contributed Rs. 27 lakhs to this Indian non-profit organisation. Rodrigo Lime, General Manager, Medical Nutrition said that Protinex is humbled to support the mid-day meal programme of Akshaya Patra and looks forward to continue supporting the cause. He said that through this partnership it aims at contributing towards a healthier India.
Akshaya Patra operates in a public-private partnership model and CSR partnerships like Protinex are exemplary testimonies. This non-profit organisation provides mid-day meal to 1.4 million children covering more than 10,600 schools in 23 locations of India of 10 states.
