Nepal Earthquake Relief Kitchen Visited by Indian Ambassador

The Nepal Earthquake Relief kitchen that was set up by The Akshaya Patra Foundation in partnership with The Tata Trust and Sipradian Sahayata Sanstha was visited by Ranjit Rae, Indian Ambassador to Nepal. Ranjit Rae was accompanied by Siddharth Rana, Managing Director of Sipradian Sahayata Sanstha. As a Nepal earthquake help this kitchen started functioning on 19 June, 2015 and serves more than 17,000 meals per day.

A tour of the centralized kitchen of Nepal earthquake relief was provided to the Indian Ambassador which gave an insight to the daily operations. Ranjit Rae appreciated the partnership of the three organisations for coming together as a team to provide aid to the survivors of the devastating earthquake. He also appreciated the efforts of The Akshaya Patra Foundation’s team in providing freshly cooked nutritious meals to the survivors. Witnessing the impact of the partnership Ranjit Rae expressed his desire for the continuation of the initiative that began as Nepal earthquake relief.
