The Mastek Foundation is an organisation that helps in creating awareness about Non Governmental Organisations in India through organising campaigns. The Foundation works towards improving social welfare and community services. This year Mastek Foundation has aimed at alleviating people from the vicious cycle of poverty. It has partnered with The Akshaya Patra Foundation for its annual fund raising marathon – ‘The Mastek Cause-A-Thon 2014’.
The proceeds of this event from sponsorships and ticket sales will be donated to Akshaya Patra. This event will act as a great platform for Akshaya Patra to spread awareness about the mid-day meal programme and need of community participation in eradicating classroom hunger. The donations will further aid the NGO in feeding the children with wholesome meals every day.
