An appreciating finale of Indian NGO’s Teachers Day celebration

Continuing the initiative of celebrating Teachers Day, this year too, The Akshaya Patra Foundation had organised ‘A Salute to Teachers’ programme spread over four Saturdays of the month of September. This Akshaya Patra event was held in four different locations of Bangalore and Akshaya Patra beneficiaries gave a spectacular performance. Akshaya Patra is an Indian NGO providing mid-day meals to the students studying in Government schools. Currently this Indian NGO is operational in 10 states of India.

The beneficiaries of The Akshaya Patra Foundation overwhelmed the audience with their brilliant performance in theatrical skills. The children received applauses throughout the programme. The finale of the Teachers Day celebration held on 27th September. Praising the efforts of Akshaya Patra in conducting such an event, Mrs. Geetha, Headmistress of HAL West Primary School also said that the children hail from poor economic backgrounds and we should extend all kinds of help them. Such Akshaya Patra events are a great platform for these children to perform in front of a huge audience which positively impacts their morale.

Time and again Akshaya Patra organises many events thereby giving a platform for children to perform and showcase their skills and talents. Akshaya Patra also conducts many events to create awareness among the citizens about the potential of the mid-day meal programme
